Flamengo goalkeeper Dyogo Alves has announced the loss of an eight-week pregnancy with partner Victoria Caruso as the club prepared for their Copa Libertadores opener.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the couple shared the news on social media, and Alves said Caruso had been pregnant since December 2025.

Caruso wrote that no words could capture their pain. Alves urged her to stay calm, expressing faith that God’s promise to them would be fulfilled.

Alves joined Flamengo’s academy in 2018 and survived the Ninho do Urubu fire in 2019. He made his senior debut in January 2024.

The goalkeeper is under contract until December this year, meaning he can sign a pre-contract with another club from July. He has been registered for the competition, with Flamengo visiting Cusco of Peru on Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time.
