On Tuesday, Eagle Football Holdings Bidco confirmed that John Textor is no longer a director, after his failed attempt to seize control last month.

The company said in a legal filing that the change formalises an existing situation. The holding owns shares and legal rights in clubs, notably OL, within a multi-ownership structure.

It specified that Textor was removed on 27 January, as he sought to retake control a few hours before the general meeting of Eagle Football Group, formerly OL Groupe.

Working with his lawyers, he tried to dismiss two independent directors.

The move failed in the face of opposition from Michele Kang and Ares Management, and the creditor then informed him of his immediate departure.
