Early goals decisive for Brighton at home to Forest | OneFootball

Three early goals decided the game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest at the Amex with Danny Welbeck netting the winner.

It took just six minutes for the first goal to fly in with another two happening in the following nine minutes.

It was 1-0 to the home side in the sixth minute and it came from Forest being unable to clear their lines with the ball eventually falling to Diego Gómez somehow finding the net from the edge of the 18-yard box with Matz Sels unable to keep the Paraguayan's effort out.

The visitors struck back in superb fashion after Igor Jesus brought the ball forward on the left before squaring it to Morgan Gibbs-White who let fly with a powerful effort from around 25 yards out with Bart Verbruggen having no chance of keeping it out.

Parity didn't last long though as the Seagulls took the lead again in what was a simple goal. A cross from the left was headed down by Jack Hinshelwood with Danny Welbeck then able to apply the finish.

Forest's poor defending in the first half ultimately cost them on the south coast with neither side able to create much in the second half.

That result sees Brighton in 11th place after their ninth win of the season while Forest still remain only two points clear of the drop zone.
