The summer transfer window is halfway over—and according to kicker, FC Bayern is among the winners so far. Sporting director Max Eberl, in particular, is being praised for his early and targeted transfer strategy. However, one small flaw remains.

While many Bundesliga clubs are still waiting for reinforcements or need to fill gaps in their rosters, FC Bayern has already made its most important personnel decisions early on. With Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown, the Munich club signed two of Vincent Kompany’s top targets even before the start of competitive play.

In its mid-season review, *kicker* gives a positive assessment of the work done by Bayern’s management. Unlike in previous years, the record champions acted early this time, thereby creating planning certainty.

The signings of Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown are particularly highlighted. Both players are not only highly talented but, thanks to their versatility, can play in multiple positions. While Saibari can play both in attacking midfield and up front, Brown increases competition on the left side of the defense and also offers additional options in midfield and on the right side.

According to the trade magazine, this early action means FC Bayern will start the new season stronger and, at the same time, with a well-coordinated team.

However, one task still awaits Max Eberl. According to *kicker*, the transfer window could even receive top marks if the Munich club manages to remove additional players slated for sale from the payroll.

In addition to Alexander Nübel, who has already been transferred, the magazine specifically names João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza as players whose departures would further improve the club’s financial bottom line. Eberl had most recently publicly identified these three players as potential sales candidates and made it clear that they no longer play a role in the club’s sporting plans.

Also of interest is *kicker*’s assessment that selling key players like Michael Olise or Luis Díaz was never seriously under consideration. Instead of generating revenue from top stars, Bayern’s management has deliberately focused on continuity and targeted reinforcements.

As a result, the interim assessment of Max Eberl and Christoph Freund is positive overall. If solutions can be found in the coming weeks for the remaining players on the transfer list, the transfer window could even turn out to be nearly perfect from *kicker*’s perspective.
