Chelsea already have five players inducted into the Hall of Fame – Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and John Terry.

Hazard’s legacy at Chelsea is firmly established. He was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year four times during his seven seasons and won the Premier League Player of the Year award in the 2014/15 campaign.

Fabregas, who played alongside Hazard during Chelsea’s rise to the pinnacle of English football in 2015 and 2017, also commands respect for his outstanding exploits for both Chelsea and Arsenal.

His tally of 111 assists is second only to Ryan Giggs in Premier League history as he established himself as one of the league’s finest playmakers.

Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe, Patrice Evra, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler, Gary Neville, Michael Owen, Teddy Sheringham, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Edwin van der Sar and Nemanja Vidic have also been nominated.

Fans can vote for the nominees until next Monday, after which a final decision is made by the existing 24 Hall of Fame members.

The Hall of Fame induction, which the Premier League regards as its highest individual honour, will be announced at a special event on November 4.
