Ederson strikes TV camera after close-up during Fenerbahçe’s 0-4 win at Kayserispor

Ederson struck a pitchside TV camera after it came to less than a metre of him during Fenerbahçe’s 0-4 win at Kayserispor on Saturday.

According to Superdeporte, an object was allegedly thrown from the stands and hit the Brazilian in the face, sending him to the ground with his face covered.

As the television camera closed in on the Brazil international, he reacted by hitting it, then stood up straight away.

It appeared the earlier blow did not cause serious harm, yet the footage has already gone viral.

Ederson is a leading figure in the Super Lig and an undisputed starter for Fenerbahçe. He is no longer the player he was at his Manchester City peak and perhaps that is why he moved to Türkiye. He had offers, but the major leagues were not ready to match his wages.
