Eduardo Salvio extends Lanús contract until 2027

Lanús have confirmed that Eduardo Salvio has extended his contract until 2027. The 35-year-old remains with the club where he began his career in Argentine football.

A Lanús academy product, the winger broke through young before moving to Europe with Atlético Madrid, then to Benfica, where he enjoyed the standout spell of his international career.

After leaving the Estádio da Luz, he joined Boca Juniors and Mexico's Pumas, then returned to Lanús. Since coming back he has been a regular, registering 27 appearances this season with one goal and three assists.

He has already lifted international silverware with Lanús, including the Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa. The renewal extends his journey in South American football.

Salvio first played for Benfica on loan in 2010/11 from Atlético Madrid, then signed permanently from 2012 to 2019. Across eight seasons he made 266 appearances, scoring 62 goals and supplying 38 assists, and collected 14 trophies, among them five league titles, two Taças de Portugal, four Taças da Liga and three Supertaças.
