Edward Still finds new role just two weeks after being sacked by Watford

Ed Still did not have to wait long for a new head coaching job. Sacked by Watford just over two weeks ago, the former Charleroi, Eupen and Kortrijk, Still takes over at RAAL La Louviere for the upcoming Belgian Pro League season. The now former Watford man takes over from Frederic Taquin, who had been at the club for nine seasons and oversaw their promotion to the Pro League. However, RAAL ended the season in very poor form, and the club have now decided to give Still another shot at being a head coach.

In fairness to Still, after a decent job at Charleroi he was dealt a very rough hand at both Eupen and Kortrijk. He almost took over as the interim head coach at Anderlecht, but Watford called and he decided to take that poisoned chalice instead. It did not pay off, with Watford sacking Still after just three wins in 15 matches, with an average of 0.9 points per game.

Speaking to the media about his new role, Still spoke of how he admires the ambition that RAAL are showing and that he wants to be part of that. It is another chance for Still to prove himself, but after struggling at Watford and two other Belgian clubs, it may be one of his last chances at the top flight should it go wrong.
