EFL Cup second round draw details as Walsall advance, Wolves and Albion await | OneFootball

Walsall booked their EFL Cup second round spot with a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Thursday. Wolves and West Brom begin their campaigns this weekend, aiming to join them.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves start the Cesar Peixoto era at home to League Two Port Vale on Friday, 7 August. James Morrison’s Albion then head to the New York Stadium to face fourth-tier Rotherham United on Saturday tea-time. Their progress will be decided over the weekend.

The second round draw will take place during the build-up to the Devon derby between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City on Monday, 10 August. David Prutton will host alongside Jobi McAnuff and Jamie Mackie at around 7:20pm on Sky Sports Football.

This is when the 11 Premier League clubs not in European competition enter. The competition remains regionalised until the third round, so the draw will be split into Northern and Southern sections.
