EFL Cup Summary: A night of shocks as Liverpool collapse and Chelsea survive a thriller
The EFL Cup (Carabao) fourth round delivered dramatic night of football across England as Liverpool’s crisis deepened, Arsenal and Manchester City progressed with authority and Chelsea escaped late Wolves comeback in 7 goal classic.
A ruthless Crystal Palace dismantled youthful Liverpool side at Anfield.Ismaila Sarr struck twice before half time — one assisted by Yeremy Pino who later added late third (88) to complete the rout.
Liverpool finished with 10 men after Amara Nallo’s red card (79) compounding another grim night for Arne Slot’s side who have now lost four in row across all competitions.

Substitute Jamie Gittens (89’) netted the winner before Liam Delap’s late red card (86) left the visitors hanging on with 10 men.
