Egypt’s team arrival at their Dallas hotel led to an incident with local police amid attempts by supporters to take photos with players.

The Pharaohs face Australia on Friday at 20:00 in the World Cup last 32. According to Almasry Alyoum, tensions arose from how police handled Egypt fans seeking souvenir pictures.

Video on social media shows head coach Hossam Hassan and his assistant twin Ibrahim Hassan being pushed back by an officer instructing them to step away. Ibrahim shouted at the officer not to push him and almost came to blows.

In the clip, a young Egypt fan tries to take a picture with forward Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.

The situation later eased, with other members of the Egypt delegation separating the parties.
