Egypt set for blockbuster friendlies in the heart of Qatar
Egypt will play Saudi Arabia & Spain in two March friendlies in Doha as part of preparations for World Cup 2026.
The Egypt national football team led by head coach Hossam Hassan are stepping up preparations for World Cup 2026 which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
As part of their build-up, Egypt will take part in two high-profile friendly matches during the March international break.
The games will be played in Doha within the Qatar Football Festival giving the team strong opposition and competitive tests before the global tournament.
Egypt will face Saudi Arabia in their first friendly on 26 March at Lusail Stadium. The match is part of World Cup preparations for both sides.
Four days later, on 30 March, Egypt will return to the same stadium to play Spain in second friendly.
Both matches will be shown live on Al Kass Sports Channels while Egyptian viewers can also watch on Egyptian Channel ON Sport.
Egypt finished fourth at the AFCON 2025 in Morocco. The team lost the third-place playoff against Nigeria on penalties after the match ended level.
