MIAMI — The 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued on Wednesday with the third matchday in Round One, featuring the second bouts in Groups A, B, C, and D.

Bermuda, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago continued their perfect starts to improve to 2-0-0 and six points in their respective groups.

Group A

Cayman Islands 0, Puerto Rico 1

Puerto Rico continued in good form with a second victory in Group A, a 1-0 win against the Cayman Islands, at Estadio Centroamericano in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.

The sole goal of the match came in the 38’ from the boots of Michaela Poidomani, who was in the box to take advantage of a loose ball to secure three more points for Las Boricuas.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 1, Bermuda 5

Bermuda earned a 5-1 victory against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at Estadio Centroamericano in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, to keep pace for the top spot in Group A.

Stephanie Hunte struck the opening goal in the 31’ to place the Vincy Heat in the lead.

Evans Welch equalized in the 60’ with a free kick strike into the left top corner of goal.

Milan Gibbons earned the lead for Bermuda in the 62’ to cement the comeback.

Avani Patton extended Bermuda’s lead in the 77’ with a left-footed shot inside the area.

Gibbons earned a brace in the 85’ to score the fourth goal for Bermuda.

Keyandae Lightbourne got on the scoresheet in the 89’ to put a bow on a second consecutive victory for Bermuda.

Group B

U.S. Virgin Islands 0, Honduras 4

Honduras won 4-nil against the U.S. Virgin Islands in Group B at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.

La H started its goal count in the 10’ as Jazlyn Sánchez sent the ball to the upper side of the net to score her second in as many matches.

Sánchez acquired her brace in the 16’ to double Honduras’ lead.

Alexandra Merriam struck a banger from outside the box in the 54’ to give Honduras its third goal of the day and extend her account to two goals in the current campaign.

Stephany Mercado sent a header to the left bottom corner in the 68’ as Honduras secured back-to-back wins.

Belize 0, Trinidad and Tobago 2

Trinidad and Tobago won 2-nil against Belize in Group B at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.

Cherina Steele broke through in the 30’ to place the hosts in front after several attempts on corner kick opportunities.

Rori Gittens doubled the lead in the 49’, with a first touch into the bottom left corner of the net.

Group C

Turks and Caicos Islands 0, Cuba 5

Cuba kicked off Group C action with a 5-nil win against the Turks and Caicos Islands at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Sunehri Borrego started the scoring in the 13’ by converting from the penalty spot with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

Marianelis Reyes doubled the lead right in the 41’ with a right-footed volley in the box.

Borrego stepped up to the spot to convert on a second penalty kick attempt in the 47’.

Las Leonas del Caribe kept rolling offensively as Reyes completed her brace in the 83’.

Yaiselis López closed the scoring in the 86’ with the last goal of the encounter as Cuba improved to six points.

Guyana 2, Panama 3

Panama closed Group C action with a 2-3 win over Guyana at Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Shaday Mow scored in the 2’ to continue her scoring rhythm after obtaining a brace for Panama in the closing moments of the opening encounter.

Isabella Rendino doubled the lead for Las Canaleras in the 7’, pushing a ball through the goal line to follow up on a free kick service.

Guyana pulled on back in the 12’ when Avril Pasvolsky got past the defense in the box.

Yasselis Magallon gave Panama a third goal in the 73’, finishing a play from a corner kick with a first touch inside the box.

Veronica Chatta cut the deficit in the 83’ for Guyana’s second but Panama would see out the result.

Group D

Anguilla 0, Guatemala 5

Guatemala secured a 5-nil victory over Anguilla in Group D at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.

Linda Galindo placed Guatemala in front in the 22’ to capitalize on a corner kick.

An own goal from Keanna Vanterpool in the 39’ doubled the lead for La Bicolor.

Emily Patzan got the third of the match in the 55’ with a right-footed banger from outside the box.

Safiyah Gaskin committed an own goal after a corner kick in the 69’, marking a fourth goal for Guatemala.

Victoria Godoy took advantage of a rebound from a previous play in the box to get the fifth goal in the 76’.

Curaçao 0, El Salvador 6

El Salvador earned a 6-nil victory over Curaçao in Group D at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.

Angelina Carrillo opened the scoring in the 9’ with a right-footed shot.

Maya Buerger added a fifth goal to her tally and second of the match for El Salvador in the 15’.

Carrillo completed her brace in the 17’ with a right-foot volley from just outside the area.

Buerger scored again with a header from a corner kick play in the 28’, giving La Selecta its fourth goal of the evening.

Zoe Castro sent an unstoppable shot from outside the box to increase the lead in the 75’, adding a fifth for El Salvador.

Ava Rodriguez struck the sixth goal for the Central Americans in the 83’, sending an outside-of-the-box volley to the back of the net.
