Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson remains a genuine candidate for a late Premier League move, although no agreement has yet been reached with either Crystal Palace or Fulham. According to Sky Germany and Sport Bild, Fulham have now also emerged as a concrete suitor. The 22-year-old’s representatives spent the weekend in England conducting negotiations as interest in the Swedish international intensified.

Frankfurt awaiting concrete Hugo Larsson agreement

Sport Bild reports that, as of Monday morning, Frankfurt officials had not been informed by Larsson’s representatives of an agreement with either Premier League club. Eintracht are therefore still treating his departure as a possibility rather than an imminent certainty. The financial parameters remain clear.

Frankfurt are reportedly prepared to sanction Larsson’s exit for a fee in the region of €25m to €30m. The midfielder remains under contract at Deutsche Bank Park through 2029, leaving the Bundesliga club in a relatively strong negotiating position. Larsson has developed into one of Frankfurt’s most valuable young players since arriving from Malmö FF in 2023.

His situation has nevertheless become increasingly intriguing during a summer in which Eintracht have continued reshaping their midfield and evaluating opportunities to generate substantial transfer income.

Fitness no obstacle to possible deadline move

Larsson’s immediate sporting situation also appears to be improving. The Sweden international missed Frankfurt’s recent 3-3 Bundesliga draw with Union Berlin because of minor muscular problems. Sky reports that Larsson was subsequently expected to return to team training, suggesting that the issue should not represent a significant obstacle to a possible transfer.

The midfielder’s future could therefore remain unresolved until the final hours of the window. Crystal Palace and Fulham have both positioned themselves in the race, Frankfurt have established the price at which they would permit a departure, and Larsson’s representatives have already travelled to England for talks.

What remains missing is the decisive agreement. Unless one of the interested Premier League clubs meets both the player’s requirements and Frankfurt’s €25m-€30m valuation, Larsson could yet remain in Germany beyond Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
