Eintracht Frankfurt hitman Hugo Ekitiké could well be amid an audition ahead of the summer after netting against Tottenham in their Europa League quarter-final first-leg clash.
The French U21 international has been a revelation for Die Adler this campaign, rediscovering his previous form at Reims that netted him a move to PSG.
Though it did not work out for the young striker in the French capital, Ekitiké has been sublime in large parts of the 2024/25 season for Frankfurt across all competitions and has now struck for the 20th time.
After receiving a line-splitting pass from Ellyes Skhiri, the 22-year-old drove at the Spurs backline before tucking in on his right foot and dispatching a cool finish in the bottom corner beyond Guglielmo Vicario.
With some of Europe's big fish keeping him on their radar screens, that strike shows why he may be primed for the next level come the summer.
