El Almería ‘to join’ the race for Vesga | OneFootball

El Almería have asked about Vesga and entered the race, Onda Vasca reports. The Athletic midfielder has one year left on his contract and is not in Terzic’s plans.

After a few days with the group, Vesga trained separately again at Lezama today. He has not played a minute across three friendlies so far, and there is no sign it will change.

Mallorca have emerged as an option. Vesga is open to a move to the island, an ambitious project aiming to return to Primera. Athletic would let him leave for free to save his final year’s wages.

A route with PAOK closed when the Greek side chose Valencia’s Santamaria instead. Almería have one of the bigger budgets in Segunda and are targeting promotion after falling just short last season. Choosing that path would reunite him with former Bilbao team-mate Morcillo.

Vesga is nearing the end of a mixed spell at San Mamés, and he will be remembered for scoring in the 2024 Copa del Rey final shootout. He will not be the only departure, with Agirrezabala and Vencedor seeking moves. Gorosabel could also leave after Rincón’s arrival.
