Luis Miguel "Pulga" Rodríguez will receive a farewell match at Colón's Brigadier Estanislao López on Sunday seven June, at the club where he ended his career. The 41-year-old was central to the 2021 Copa de la Liga, the Sabalero's only Primera División title.
According to SuperDepor.com, Colón plan a showpiece occasion with members of that champion side, five years on, despite an unsettled backdrop and the start of a third straight Primera Nacional season.
He never announced his retirement, but his final outing came late in 2025 after rejoining mid-season to help avoid relegation. He captained the team in five starts and delivered two assists in his first two matches, securing six vital points.
The early surge faded as Colón went 10 games without a win, then closed the campaign with a narrow victory over relegated Defensores Unidos de Zárate. Rodríguez came on in the 32nd minute of the second half, the last minutes of his career.
In January he said goodbye on social media, thanking supporters and saying they would remain in his heart. Participants for the tribute will be confirmed later, and Rodríguez has completed his coaching course and plans to begin in the second half of the year with fitness coach Guillermo Cinquetti, formerly a colleague of Miguel Ángel Russo.
