MIAMI – The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues with El Salvador hosting Suriname in Group A on Monday at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.

La Selecta is coming off a 1-nil victory at Guatemala where Harold Osorio delivered the match-winning goal in the 79th minute to deliver a three-point start for Hernán Darío Gómez’s side.

Suriname played to a scoreless draw against Panama. Etienne Vaessen posted three saves to earn the clean sheet at home and earn a valuable point in the nation’s World Cup hopes.

This will be the 11th match between El Salvador and Suriname. El Salvador leads the series with eight wins, one loss, and one draw.

The last meeting was a 1-1 draw on June 10, 2025, in the Preliminary Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at Estadio Cuscatlán. Brayan Gil scored for El Salvador and Justin Lonwijk for Suriname.
