MIAMI - The Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers to the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues with El Salvador hosting Guatemala in Group A on Tuesday at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador.
El Salvador looks to bounce back after falling 1-nil at home against Panama on Friday. La Selecta is third in Group A with three points and a record of a win and two losses.
El Salvador will also aim to continue its unbeaten record at home in World Cup Qualifiers against Guatemala (2-1-0).
Guatemala enters the match after a 1-1 draw on the road against Suriname. Darwin Lom scored the goal in the match to secure the point.
Los Chapines will look for a positive outcome to climb up in Group A. Guatemala currently sits fourth with two points and a record of two draws and a loss.
The meeting will be the second in the Final Round, following a 1-nil win for El Salvador on September 4, and the 77th all-time between the Central American rivals. Guatemala leads the all-time series with 34 wins to 19 for El Salvador, while 23 matchups resulted in draws.
