The next two players in line for a new contract with Roma are Stephan El Shaarawy and Leandro Paredes.

After an uncertain start to the season, Leandro Paredes has found continuity with Ranieri and is now ready to extend his contract.

Stephan El Shaarawy will also automatically renew until 2026, with an adjustment to his salary.

For Paredes, initially little used by Juric and tempted by a return to Argentina, the situation has changed radically. In recent weeks, contacts between the player and sporting director Ghisolfi have intensified, leading to an agreement on the spread of his salary.

The current salary of 4 million euros per year will be reduced to 2.5 million for the next two years, writes Il Messaggero.

Furthermore, a clause already present in the contract guarantees an automatic renewal for one season in the event of qualification for the Champions League or Europa League, a goal that is still achievable.

The Giallorossi club will also be able to benefit from the tax breaks of the Growth Decree, valid for players who arrived before December 2023.

This allows Roma to manage the midfielder’s salary without excessively impacting the budget. Meanwhile, Boca Juniors will have to wait.

The Argentine club does not seem willing to offer more than 1 million euros per season, a figure far from the player’s current requests.

On the El Shaarawy front, the current contract provides for automatic renewal until 2026, with a reduction in salary.

The Italian winger will go from the current 3.5 million to around 1.5 million plus bonuses, still guaranteeing significant savings for the club.
