CD Eldense have completed the signing of Óscar Vega, a 20-year-old Colombian centre-back who, only a year ago, was keeping goal for his country’s futsal team.
According to Superdeporte, Vega has trained with the first team since September under head coach Claudio Barragán, and the club have now registered him during the winter window.
Barragán has backed the move, judging Vega on his work since September and describing his development as spectacular.
Eldense have tied him to a deal until 2028. The transfer forms part of the club’s international collaboration with Llaneros FC, his previous side, which has enabled his step into European football.
His futsal grounding is being valued, with attributes such as sharp reactions, leadership and game-reading now being applied to his new role.
