Elland Road’s enhancement is under way after Leeds United’s 2025/26 season, with the club hailing a momentous step and chairman Paraag Marathe urging patience as works gather pace.

Daniel Farke’s side finished 14th on 47 points, and plans for summer recruitment run alongside activity on site.

At the start of June work began on the West Stand, including removal of the Banqueting Suite. The new stand will be built over the existing structure as the first phase towards UEFA Category 4 status. Increasing capacity is seen as vital given a 32,000 Season Ticket waiting list, and would help Leeds bid to host major tournaments.

"No doubt there'll be some disruptions here and there. The ticket office is gone. I know where we are up in the chairman's area, there's going to be some disruptions as well."

He was speaking to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk and other local media.

"So there will be disruptions and probably some annoyances and hopefully everybody can just bear with us as we get through."

Recent drone footage has shown early changes. Portakabins for visiting teams have been removed and a LUTV building is coming down. Floodlights are down and a temporary corporate structure behind the North Stand is going up.
