Elliot Anderson has spoken publicly for the first time since leaving Nottingham Forest. His £116m British record move to Manchester City was confirmed during the World Cup.
The player said in a post on X that he departs with unforgettable memories.
His message thanked supporters for their backing over the last two years, particularly towards the end of the season, and reflected that he fell in love with the club from the moment he arrived.
It also thanked staff and team-mates for their welcome, crediting Forest with helping him grow as both a player and a person.
Anderson highlighted the return of European football after 29 years, calling it something the fans deserved and special to have played a part in.
He closed by saying Forest will always hold a special place in his heart as he leaves the City Ground for the Etihad Stadium.
