Ellyes Skhiri has rejoined Cologne, signing until 30 June 2028. The club confirmed the move on Friday, with the deal estimated at about one million euros.
The Tunisia midfielder, capped 86 times, returns after three seasons with Eintracht Frankfurt. Cologne finished 14th in the 2025-26 Bundesliga.
Skhiri previously spent four seasons with Cologne, leaving in 2023 as a free agent. His first spell brought 133 official appearances and 20 goals. He quickly established himself as a key part of their midfield.
In Frankfurt colours he played 117 matches in all competitions, scoring seven and providing seven assists. The 31-year-old came through at Montpellier.
After three years in Frankfurt and a disappointing 2026 World Cup with Tunisia, Skhiri returns to a familiar environment, with the aim of opening a new chapter in Cologne colours.
