Emanuel Benjamín, a defender for FC Porto B, has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

He has undergone surgery, which the club said in a statement went as planned.

There were no complications during the procedure.

The Italian under-20 international will now begin his rehabilitation.

His recovery will be overseen by the medical department at CTFD Jorge Costa.
