Emersonn strikes late as Toulouse rise to 10th | OneFootball

Toulouse beat Strasbourg 2-1 on Sunday at the Stade de la Meinau, Emersonn striking late to end a four-match winless run and lift the visitors from 11th to 10th in Ligue 1.

In the 27th minute Sam Amo-Ameyaw swept in from the centre after a corner, Ismaël Doukouré supplying the assist, to put Le Racing ahead.

Dayann Methalie levelled with a composed finish to the bottom left from Cristian Casseres' through ball (43.). Either side of the break, Guillaume Restes denied Sam Amo-Ameyaw and then Mathis Amougou to keep Toulouse in it.

Le Racing lost Yaya Diémé to injury (72.). Substitute Emersonn then won it, guiding Casseres' fast-break pass into the bottom left (84.).

Toulouse registered 16 attempts with six on target. Le Racing saw 54% of the ball and earned eight corners.

Le Racing stay eighth on 46 points. Next, Le Racing host Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League semi-final second leg, while Toulouse host Lyon next.
