Gisela Robledo is in the final week of her Corinthians deal, which expires on 31 August, and the club have yet to confirm a renewal. Head coach Emilly Lima says she is confident an agreement is close.
According to Meu Timao, finances have been the main obstacle, with negotiations hampered by Corinthians’ debt of more than R$ 2.7 billion and repeated delays in paying bonuses and image rights.
After Wednesday’s win over Taubaté in the Paulista Feminino, Lima said the process is under control and only the president’s signature remains. She also hopes Robledo can lift fans with goals.
Talks began in the first half of 2026, with Robledo’s camp seeking a plan that would give her greater prominence while overseas clubs made enquiries.
She joined in August 2024 from Tenerife. In her first season she missed the Brasileiro knockout phase due to registration rules, featuring only in the Libertadores and Paulista.
Robledo has since grown in influence, starring in the 2025 Libertadores title run and returning regularly to Colombia squads.
This year she has three goals and four assists in 20 matches, her best season for direct goal contributions. She is expected to be available on Monday, 31 August, for the Brasileirão Feminino quarter-final first leg at Cruzeiro, 19:15, at Arena Independência.
