Emily Lima has signed a two-year contract with Corinthians Feminino and is expected to be officially announced within hours. According to Meu Timao, the 45-year-old completed the deal on Tuesday.

She arrives on a free after leaving Levante in October. Lima will meet the squad on Wednesday and take her first session at the CT alvinegro. She replaces Lucas Piccinato, who was dismissed in the early hours of last Saturday.

Corinthians return to action on 13 March, facing Palmeiras at 21:30 at Arena Barueri in the third round of the Brasileiro Feminino. During the break, 10 players are away with their national teams for the Data Fifa.

Lima endured a tough spell at Levante, recording 10 defeats and one draw across 11 matches. Before Europe, she worked at Juventus, São Caetano and Santos, and led the national teams of Brasil, Equador and Peru.

She had been among options studied by the board, with contact accelerating into a hire on Monday. Other candidates included Felipe Freitas, now at Bahia and intent on staying, and Marcelo Frigerio, a free agent since leaving Pumas of Mexico at the end of 2025.
