Emma Moreno Extends Atlético Madrid Deal, Returns to Eibar on Loan | OneFootball

Emma Moreno has extended her contract with Atlético Madrid until 30 June 2028 and agreed to spend a second consecutive season on loan at Eibar. The new deal secures her future with Atlético through 2028, while the extended loan lets her keep playing regularly in the top flight.

Emma Moreno Builds on Her First Full Liga F Season

During the 2025/26 season, the 19-year-old forward made 29 appearances and played more than 1,500 minutes for Eibar in her first full campaign in Liga F. Her only league goal came against parent club Atlético Madrid.

Moreno joined Atlético’s academy in 2015 and made her senior debut during the 2024/25 season. She featured against Rangers in the qualifying phase of the Women’s Champions League before making her Liga F debut against Deportivo.

After joining Eibar on loan in the summer of 2025, Moreno became a regular member of Iñaki Goikoetxea’s side. Her versatility allowed her to operate in several wide and attacking positions, a quality she has also shown with Spain’s youth teams.

Back-to-Back European Titles With Spain

The contract renewal follows Moreno’s second successive Women’s Under-19 European title with Spain. She was part of the side that retained the trophy in 2026 and was selected in the team of the tournament.

Her international record also includes the Women’s Under-17 European Championship and a runner-up finish at the Under-17 World Cup in 2024. Atlético have renewed Moreno’s contract through 2028 before she begins another season at Eibar.

Continuity at Eibar for Another Season

Moreno will remain at Eibar after completing her initial loan spell with the Basque club. The extension gives her the chance to build on the more than 1,500 minutes she accumulated during the 2025/26 campaign.

Returning to Eibar means Moreno stays in a familiar environment after establishing herself as a regular during her first season with the club. Atlético’s agreement with Eibar keeps the young forward in Liga F for another year while she remains under contract in Madrid until 2028.
