After lengthy negotiations, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye’s future has finally been settled. FC Bayern has signed the 18-year-old to a permanent contract, securing his services through 2031. Shortly after the official announcement, the Senegalese player spoke out with emotional words.

Ndiaye is by no means a stranger at Säbener Straße. The midfielder already played for the German record champions on loan last season and was able to convince the club’s management of his potential.

Even during summer training, the youngster was already part of Vincent Kompany’s squad, despite his contractual situation still being unresolved. Ndiaye trained with the pros and was given the opportunity to showcase his skills in the preseason friendlies.

As a result, the permanent signing had been on the horizon for weeks. Now, the Munich club has officially announced the deal.

Freund raves about Ndiaye’s development

Above all, his dynamism and his qualities as a box-to-box player make Ndiaye an exciting prospect for Kompany. Added to that is the fact that, despite his young age, the 18-year-old has already gained international experience and was even part of Senegal’s World Cup squad this summer.

Sporting director Christoph Freund expressed his satisfaction following the transfer.

“Bara is a great guy who has settled in very quickly at FC Bayern in a completely new environment and has rapidly earned the team’s respect,” Freund explained.

Bayern have been tracking Ndiaye’s development for quite some time. “We’ve been watching him for a long time; he was captain of his team, has made impressive progress over the past 24 months, and has continued that momentum in Munich,” added the Austrian.

A major advantage for Kompany: Ndiaye hardly needs a traditional adjustment period. He already knows his teammates, the team’s routines, and the coach’s expectations.

Following the official announcement, Ndiaye addressed the public himself via Instagram. In his post, the youngster made clear just how significant the long-term Bayern contract is for him and his family.

“It’s a very special day for me and my family. I’m deeply grateful to God and to everyone who has supported me on this journey. And I’m proud to continue my journey with FC Bayern,” wrote the 18-year-old.

At the same time, Ndiaye is already looking ahead to his next challenges: “Now it’s time to keep learning, work hard, and get better every day.”

With the contract running through 2031, Bayern is sending a clear signal that they are planning for the long term with this talented midfielder. Now it’s up to Ndiaye to build on the strong impressions he made last season and during preseason and, step by step, earn more playing time under Kompany.
