Empoli coach Roberto D’Aversa previews Roma match: “We will have to give more than 100%.” | OneFootball

Empoli manager Roberto D’Aversa previewed Sunday’s showdown with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Italian technician addressed the media earlier today, prior to Empoli’s trip to the capital.

“It will be a totally different match from the previous one. We will find a very hot environment due to the fact that Dybala has decided to stay, so the stadium will certainly push Roma to give their best, but that’s always been the case in that stadium.”

“With Monza we had opportunities to win and we didn’t succeed, in this case to get out of there with a positive result you have to give more than 100%, because sometimes that might not be enough.”

“We are playing against a great team, stronger than us on paper. If we want a positive result we have to play with courage, force them into situations they don’t like, avoiding sloppy passes and giving them less possession.”

“Solbakken? I have already followed Solbakken in the past because he has important qualities, I would have liked him in the past too. Fast, with his legs, he prefers to play with an inverted foot, but he has the potential to also play the attacking midfield position.”
