Confident from the spot: Emre Can has converted all ten of his penalties in the Bundesliga. He has scored a total of 16 penalties in his career. He has only missed twice, at the 2011 U17 European Championship and, most recently, 12 years ago in the Bavarian Regionalliga.
Milestone penalty: It was Borussia Dortmund’s 300th penalty in the Bundesliga.
Substitute goal: Karim Adeyemi came on as a substitute for the 27th time in the Bundesliga and scored for the third time as off the bench.
Asset: Maximilian Beier made the most sprints of any player on the pitch (32) and was the Borussia player to notch up the highest speed (34.2 km/h, Stuttgart’s Chris Führich was one tenth of a second faster). He also had four shots on goal (the most of any BVB player) and won 63% of his tackles before the break (after a total of 97 minutes, the figure was 48%).
Goals: For the first time this Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund scored two goals before half-time in a home game. After five straight Bundesliga matches in which BVB have only scored one goal, they got back to netting multiple in a single game. (br)
