Endrick, on loan at Lyon from Real Madrid since January, is close to a Brazil World Cup call after a strong run of goals and assists. L'Équipe reports that Carlo Ancelotti could name the 19-year-old in his squad for 11 June to 19 July.

Accusations of selfishness have faded as his numbers have climbed. Since January he has supplied at least two more assists than any other Ligue 1 player, seven in 15 games and nine overall, and has scored eight, five in the league, two in the Coupe de France and one in the Europa League.

He chose Lyon to re-enter the Seleçao after a year out and make this summer's tournament. The likelihood of him making it is put at 99%, with a note of caution.

TV Globo reporter Alexandre Lozetti argues he should be picked, citing versatility, personality, power and youth, and expects Ancelotti to use him where required.

He has been directly involved in 17 goals in 21 matches, mostly from the right wing, the second most decisive Brazilian this year behind Vinicius and ahead of his Seleçao rivals.

Former Lyon winger Michel Bastos says he thrives in big games, pointing to the 2-1 win in Paris where he recorded a goal and an assist, and believes he should go to the World Cup.

Lyon's number nine has one game left, at Lens on Sunday at 21:00, to add to his tally, then he plans to head to Madrid to use Real's facilities. Ancelotti is due to name his squad around 23:00 on Monday, and there appears to be little suspense left.
