England delivered another confident attacking performance to brush aside Wales 3-0 in a friendly at Wembley, continuing their strong form under Thomas Tuchel.
The England boss stuck with much of the squad that produced his best win so far - a 5-0 demolition of Serbia in September - and was rewarded with another lively display as his side raced into a three-goal lead inside 20 minutes.
Morgan Rogers set the tone early, turning in Marc Guehi’s cutback after just three minutes to give the hosts a dream start.
Just seven minutes later, fellow Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins, leading the line in Harry Kane’s absence, doubled the advantage soon after, finishing neatly from close range.
Wales barely had time to regroup before Bukayo Saka made it three with a superb curling strike from the edge of the box.
The game was effectively done by the 20-minute mark, but the Three Lions continued to push forward. Watkins should have added another before half-time, missing from a yard out before crashing into the post.
England could easily have added to their tally before the break, with Watkins missing a sitter from a yard out before colliding painfully with a post. Rogers also went close after the restart, rattling the bar with a powerful effort.
Wales improved once the tempo dropped, with David Brooks drawing a save from Jordan Pickford and Chris Mepham testing the goalkeeper with a header.
Tuchel’s side look to be finding rhythm and confidence after an inconsistent start to his reign. They now turn their focus to Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Latvia.
Wales, meanwhile, will look to regroup quickly ahead of their crucial qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff on Monday.
