The OneFootball podcast returns once again to take a look at womenâs football.
This week Angelina Kelly is joined by Her Football Hubâs Lauren Coffman and Give Me Sport Womenâs Olly Roberts.
First up and the panel discuss the World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.
England simply cannot stop scoring as they begin a new era under manager Sarina Wiegman, Scotland celebrated two impressive wins and with Erin Cuthbert putting on some great performances, could she get more game time with Chelsea?
For Northern Ireland things are looking good both on and off the pitch with two wins as the nation are hopeful that the Irish FA will approve equal pay for the international menâs and womenâs sides. Meanwhile Wales celebrated two important victories as the panel discuss if Gemma Grainger can take them to the World Cup.
Next, and ahead of the weekendâs fixtures the panel discuss the Womenâs Super League as Manchester United prepare to host Chelsea in what must surely be a must-win fixture for the Blues. Meanwhile in London Arsenal will face Manchester City, and should Jonas Eidevall get three points, will Arsenal be favourites to win the league?
Elsewhere in Spain Real Madrid face a crucial game against Granadilla Tenerife, PSG will face Paris FC and there are numerous big games taking place in Serie A as the panel question if this season will be more competitive than last.
Finally, Angelina spoke exclusively to Manchester City player Laura Coombs who talked about her recent contract extension with the team, why new signing Khadija Shaw will be an asset to the WSL, and why her club have what it takes to compete for the title this season.
