Marcus Rashford’s future remains one of Barcelona’s most closely watched transfer stories, but fresh information suggests recent reports regarding an official offer may not be accurate.
According to Mundo Deportivo, sources close to the England international have denied claims that Barcelona submitted a €15 million bid to Manchester United for the forward.
The same sources also reject suggestions that such an offer was turned down by the Premier League club.
The update provides a different perspective on a transfer story that has gathered momentum in recent weeks, with speculation continuing over whether Rashford will remain at Camp Nou beyond his loan spell.
While uncertainty remains, one thing has not changed is the player’s desire to continue playing for Barcelona.

It is said that the English forward remains calm about the situation and continues to believe there is a pathway towards staying at the club.
One of the reasons for that optimism comes from a conversation he had with Hansi Flick at the end of the season.
The Barcelona manager discussed possible scenarios that could allow Rashford to continue under his leadership, something that was viewed positively by the player and his camp.
Now, despite reports originating elsewhere suggesting Barcelona had already submitted a reduced offer, sources close to Rashford insist that no formal proposal has been sent to Manchester United so far.
That means negotiations have not yet entered the decisive phase.

As of today, Barcelona still possess a purchase option worth €30 million, although there are differing reports regarding the exact deadline by which a decision must be communicated to Manchester United.
Rather than activating the clause outright, Barcelona’s preference appears to be exploring alternative solutions.
In that regard, the club is believed to be considering negotiating a lower transfer fee or potentially discussing another loan arrangement.
For now, however, no official communication has been made to Manchester United.
