Questions had been raised over Three Lions stars ahead of World Cup quarter-final

The trio were all part of the training session with their team-mates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida ahead of Saturday’s quarter-final against Norway in Miami.

The Three Lions will reach the semi-finals if they beat the Norwegians at the Hard Rock Stadium. Their last-four opponents would be either Switzerland or defending champions Argentina.

Guehi had missed two days of training due to a hamstring injury and was considered a serious doubt for the Norway game, while Arsenal midfielder Rice had been dealing with a slight sickness bug.

Chelsea right-back James had been in training for the last few days as he approaches a return from a hamstring injury that had kept him out against Panama, DR Congo and Mexico.

But all three were part of the training session at the Inter Miami training ground on Friday in what appears to be a significant boost to Tuchel’s ability to pick the team he wants for the quarter-final.

Tuchel will be keen to select a full-strength midfield and defence to help keep quiet Erling Haaland, who has scored seven goals in four games at the tournament and is Norway’s biggest threat.

The only player who missed training on Friday was Jordan Henderson, who is out of the tournament due to a freak arm injury suffered while celebrating the 3-2 win over Mexico in the previous round. The injury required surgery, which was successful.
