England have had plenty of injury issues for their Homecoming Series, with Wubben-Moy the fifth star to withdraw.

Who has withdrawn from Lionesses squad?

Why has Lotte Wubbon-Moy withdrawn from England squad?

Lotte Wubbon-Moy is the latest England international to pull out of Sarina Wiegman’s squad.

The Arsenal defender had joined up with the Lionesses but reportedly fell ill and decided to withdraw from the upcoming Homecoming Series.

Unlike the rest of the England stars who have withdrawn, no replacement has been called up for Wubbon-Moy.

The 26-year-old has 13 senior caps for the Lionesses and was in contention to start against Brazil this weekend with England’s injury crisis at centre back.

In Wubbon-Moy’s absence, Maya Le Tissier may finally be given her chance for Sarina Wiegman with Jess Morgan or Esme Carter partnering the Manchester United captain.

Hannah Hampton was also announced as a late scratch from the squad with the Chelsea goalkeeper carrying a knock.

Arsenal’s defender injury crisis

Wubbon-Moy isn’t the first Arsenal defender to suffer from an injury at the start of the season.

Leah Williamson is yet to play a minute for the Gunners yet this year. The Arsenal captain suffered a knee injury at Euro 2025 and is still recovering from surgery.

Renee Slegers admitted that Williamson’s injury is now ‘week to week’ and she could return after the international break.

Katie Reid has been earning more minutes with Williamson out at the start of the campaign.

Reid was in line to make her debut for the Lionesses on their Homecoming Tour, but she has also withdrawn from the squad with a minor knock.

Arsenal will be hoping at least one of their centre-backs can return to the squad before they face Leicester in their next WSL game on November 2nd.
