With finances in focus for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, England lead the squad valuation rankings. Four nations clear one billion euros, including France.

According to L'Équipe, using the CIES model, England’s 26 players selected by Thomas Tuchel are valued at 1.454 billion euros, with Morgan Rogers the highest at 137 million. France follow on 1.436 billion, led by captain Kylian Mbappé at 166 million.

Spain sit third on 1.407 billion euros, and boast the tournament’s most valuable player, Lamine Yamal at 358 million, equal to 25.4% of their total. Germany are the final side above one billion, at 1.085 billion.

Next come Portugal on 910 million and the Netherlands on 853 million, before the first non-European side, Brazil, in seventh at 821 million. Argentina are at 764 million, Belgium 700 million and Norway complete the top 10 on 646 million, despite Erling Haaland’s 227 million valuation, the second highest of the tournament and 35.2% of Norway’s total.

France’s Group I is the most valuable at 2.635 billion euros, even with Iraq the tournament’s second lowest at 13 million. England’s group totals 2.141 billion, and Germany’s 2.131 billion.
