Thomas Tuchel has yet to lead England in a major tournament, but the English FA has already moved to secure his future. The 52-year-old German tactician has signed an extension to ensure project stability through the 2026 World Cup, at a time when several top European clubs were closely monitoring his situation.

On its official website, the English FA announced: "Thomas Tuchel has signed a new contract to lead the England senior men's team until UEFA EURO 2028 in the UK and Ireland." This extension reflects the positive momentum since his arrival. His assistants Anthony Barry, Henrique Hilário, Nico Mayer, and James Melbourne have also been extended through summer 2028.
