Lauren Hemp and Grace Clinton will return to the England squad for the final two matches of the ‘Homecoming Series’.

The Lionesses will take on China PR at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 29 November 2025 before facing Ghana at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Tuesday 2 December 2025.

England head coach Sarina Wiegman has named a 25-player squad for the double-header with Manchester City pair Hemp and Clinton making their respective returns following injury.

In other squad news, London City Lionesses forward Freya Godfrey has been handed her first senior call-up while Sophie Baggaley, Anouk Denton, Grace Fisk, Taylor Hinds and Lucia Kendall all retain their places in the squad. Michelle Agyemang, Alex Greenwood, Hannah Hampton and Leah Williamson all miss out with injury.

Speaking after naming her latest squad, England boss Wiegman said “It’s been another unforgettable year and we’re looking forward to finishing it in the right way with these final two matches of the ‘Homecoming Series’. We will have the chance to celebrate our successes in front of our supporters but we’re also fully-focused on our objective to qualify for the World Cup.

“With competitive fixtures in March, April and June 2026 these games against non-European opposition will give us some important learnings and development opportunities. It’s another very important window for us to work hard with the players and try different things.

“To play in front of over 80,000 at Wembley is something that we will never ever take for granted. We thank the fans for their truly incredible support, both at home and abroad, throughout 2025.”
