England take on Senegal in an international friendly at Nottingham’s City Ground tonight.
Thomas Tuchel takes charge of his first friendly fixture as England manager and could use the clash as a chance to experiment.
The German was critical of his side’s attitude, following an underwhelming 1-0 win over Andorra on Saturday evening. England have won all three games under Tuchel without conceding but are yet to convince.
Senegal arrive in England unbeaten in 18 months. The African nation are on a 21-game unbeaten run, including a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland on Friday.
Bukayo Saka was left out of Saturday’s squad with a slight issue but could return. The Arsenal winger addressed the media this week ahead of the clash and is expected to start at the City Ground. Conor Gallagher also missed the clash with Andorra.
Ollie Watkins withdrew from the squad through injury, while Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice and Anthony Gordon will hope to start after beginning the game with Andorra from the bench.
The uncapped Trevoh Chalobah did not debut in that win and will hope for action this evening.
England predicted XI: Henderson; Alexander-Arnold, Chalobah, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Gibbs-White, Eze; Saka, Gordon; Toney.
England host Senegal in a friendly fixture on Tuesday 10th June 2025. Kick-off in Nottingham is 7:45pm BST.
In the UK, the game will be televised live on ITV.
