England have advanced to the next stage of the U17 World cup after a 2-0 win against South Korea.
The Koreans had in fact had the ball in the net early on only for their goal to be ruled out for offside.
After that the Young Lions grew into the game and took the lead with just under a half an hour gone after great play from Seth Ridgeon on the right who hit the byline before pulling the ball back. Jung Hui-seop tried to intercept it but only succeeded in putting the ball into his own net.
England doubled their lead shortly after with Manchester City's Reigan Heskey once again getting on the scoresheet as he headed in at the back post.
From that point on England had full control of the game and almost added a third in style when Luca Williams-Barnett's opportunistic effort from inside his own area went just wide of Park Do-hun's goal.
South Korea almost pulled one back late on direct from a corner which required Jack Porter to be on his toes.
In the end it was a solid performance from Liam Bramley's side who now advance into the Round of 16 where they will face either Austria or Tunisia who play later today.
