Bethany England wrote her name in Barclays Women’s Super League history books once again as she became the first player to score 25+ goals for two different teams in our narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Having made WSL history back in January as she became the first player to have scored against every side in the competition, in cancelling out Vivianne Miedema’s early opener in the contest at Brisbane Road, the goal took our skipper to a quarter of a century of goals for the Club in the WSL.
Having scored 45 in the competition for former side Chelsea, that goal against the Citizens made her the only player in WSL history to have scored at least 25 goals for two different sides.
And, aforementioned, that is the second piece of WSL history that the forward has created in 2025 so far!
Back in January, Bethany netted a brace in our 3-2 win at Crystal Palace which saw her become the first player to have scored against every club that has featured in the WSL - another one for the league's history book.
She has now moved on to 82 goals in the competition, but Miedema’s header to open the scoring sees her maintain a three-goal advantage (85) as the WSL’s all-time leading goalscorer.
