PSG head coach Luis Enrique says he is “not surprised” Arsenal won the Premier League under Mikel Arteta.
Enrique will go head-to-head with countryman Arteta in the Champions League final, with the Parisians looking to win back-to-back European titles.
PSG face an Arsenal side high in confidence after securing their first Premier League title in 22 years with the 56-year-old not shocked to see the north Londoners on top domestically
“I am not surprised, especially with what he has done this year. They are worthy of winning the Premier League, the best team in the league. It was not easy with Man City on their tails.
“Arteta has been there six and a half years, and he knows them inside and out.”

The Spaniard was then asked to comment on a video of Arteta saying Arsenal will win the Champions League. Enrique was adamant that trying to win the competition was the only motivation him and his side need.
“I don’t think there is any better motivation than winning the Champions League but we will see. We will see who wins. Because that is it. We have won our leagues and I will focus on what is best for our team.”
The last time PSG and Arsenal faced off was in the semi-finals of 2024/25 edition of the competition, which Enrique’s side won 3-1 on aggregate.
“It is an opponent we know very well,” said the Spaniard. “We played against them last year and the year before.
“I think we can tweak our performance up front and at the back as well and that’s what we do. In terms of managing a final, it is different, and it is about making the most of it, but for the Champions League final you never know when you’re going to be back.”
