Enzo Fernández has decided to leave Chelsea, drawing strong interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City and now Arsenal. The World Cup winner is at the centre of a high-profile pursuit as the transfer window nears.
CaughtOffside reports that Chelsea remain intent on keeping the Argentina international following Xabi Alonso’s arrival, and that the head coach wants to meet him before any final call on his future.
City are monitoring the situation as they look to cover the departure of Bernardo Silva, and believe Fernández fits their midfield profile, with any deal viewed for 2027.
Real Madrid have him high on their list and regard him as a priority to strengthen midfield. The player is said to welcome a move to the Bernabéu, a long-held ambition that could aid a deal.
Arsenal have joined the chase, though Mikel Arteta is prioritising other midfield options such as Sandro Tonali. Even so, the club are following developments and could act if the market opens up.
Fernández is under contract until 2032 and valued at around £110 million. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal are braced for a costly battle in the weeks ahead.
