Enzo Maresca has ended a three-month social media silence with his first post since his Chelsea farewell, hinting he could be ready to manage again.
LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports he left on New Year's Day, with Liam Rosenior taking over, and after a brief farewell a week later he went quiet. Exactly three months on he resurfaced with Maldives family photos, captioned: "Enjoying the half term...Time to recharge!"
The post drew likes from Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah and Levi Colwill. One image showed a desk with stationery and tactical manuals, suggesting he remains immersed in study and could be preparing for a return.
Speculation persists that he could rejoin Manchester City if Pep Guardiola departs. He previously led City's development squad and worked on Guardiola's staff in 2020 to 2021 and 2022 to 2023.
He was seen in the director's box for Leicester's Championship match with Norwich at the King Power Stadium alongside assistants Willy Cabellero and Danny Walker.
The trio won promotion with Leicester in 2023/24 before moving to Chelsea last summer. Leicester were said to have contacted him before appointing Gary Rowett as interim to steer the club clear of relegation.
Across 92 Chelsea games he recorded 55 wins, 16 draws and 21 defeats. He won the UEFA Conference League and the Club World Cup, and his exit was later questioned by Enzo Fernandes and Marc Cucurella.
