Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca must have gone absolutely wild at half time against Lincoln City last night based on comments.

I’ve been writing articles on the aftermath of this game all morning and it’s beyond belief really just how close Lincoln City came to beating Chelsea last night. If they did they would have deserved it, because they were the better side, without a doubt.

EXCLUSIVE! Cole Palmer now has NEW injury and will be out for a set time!

Blues defender Malo Gusto says he has never seen a team play football like Lincoln did last night, and that surely has to be meant as a compliment. It should be.

And the Lincoln website says that they dominated world champions Chelsea last night and who is to argue that with them? We know the possession stats are heavily in Chelsea’s favour as they often are, but possession alone does not win you games and Lincoln were certainly the better side despite being two league’s below Chelsea.

Chelsea got very lucky really and they needed two quick goals after half time to turn things around, one being a world class wonder goal from Tyrique George from nowhere after a deflection kindly landed the ball at his feet.

Enzo Maresca must have gone absolutely wild at half time and in fact, we know he did from his comments.

There was then a video of Maresca speaking to the Chelsea website at full time, and of course he was asked about what he said at half time and how angry he was.

He first said:

“I was more worried about this game than sometimes Premier League games.”

And then when he was asked what he said at half time, he simply replied:

“It’s better if I don’t say.”

Wow, he must have gone absolutely mad and I am sure some choice words and swear words were used as well.
