According to O Globo, Flamengo and Erick Pulgar will renew his contract for two more seasons, taking it to the end of 2029, with a higher release clause and a salary increase.
The Chile international had been a concern this window after his buyout fell to 4 million euros in July, leaving him vulnerable to bids if he agreed terms elsewhere.
Pulgar joined Flamengo in July 2022 from Fiorentina, the club paying 2.8 million euros.
Since then he has made 164 appearances, scoring six goals and supplying nine assists, and has lifted two Copas do Brasil, two Libertadores, one Brasileirão, one Supercopa do Brasil and three Cariocas.
In this window Flamengo also negotiated the departures of Gonzalo Plata and Wallace Yan.
With Pulgar available, Flamengo face Botafogo on Sunday 30 at 16:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã in the 25th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
