FC Midtjylland could've beaten Liverpool in last night's Champions League clash, says Erik Sviatchenko.
Liverpool won 2-0, though Sviatchenko insists they had the chances to win.
"The atmosphere was a bit muted, because you could have a feeling that this was the opportunity we had to shock the whole world. But we have to take the good things and again learn from the 90 minutes and take them to the Ajax match, where we can hopefully do really well and get something there," said Sviatchenko.
"I'm a little disappointed. We had the opportunities and the performance we needed to make the shock result we had talked about. Now you are left with a feeling that there was something you could have picked up.
"But we also faced a team that, when it really matters, is millimetre-accurate, and they showed that with their two goals.
"Along the way, we showed what we are made of, and it was great to see we had learned from the first match. We should have learned something from the Atalanta match, and we must say we did."
